- Make sure that the site is not blocked at your school before using it with students.
- Go through the quiz yourself in order to anticipate questions or difficulties students may have. This particular quiz is using simple HTML, so it should work on all computers; however, many other quizzes on the Web site use JavaScript
or Flash
. If you use other quizzes, make sure that these are installed on all computers being used for the activity.
How-To
- Open the Example Web Site (above).
- Read each question to the class.
- Ask for volunteers or call on students to provide the answers.
- Select the answer down arrow to see the correct answer.
- As a follow up, try another, slightly more difficult clothing vocabulary quiz
on the site.
Teacher Tips
- You may want to pair or group students, show them the questions, and allot time to write the answers. Then call on the pairs or groups to answer the questions.
- The activity could also be a spelling/team competition by having one student come to the board and write the answer. Points can be awarded to teams to have the correct answer spelled correctly.
