In this lesson, students learn about: the advantages and disadvantages of credit cards; card options and percentage rates; as well as the true cost of credit.

Preparation

  1. You may need to register for an account in order to access the lesson plans. Download and review the following materials for Lesson 8: Credit Cards under the Grades 7-8 lesson plans:
  2. Print the Teacher's Guide (see Example Web Site above)
  3. Print Student Activities (pdf) for each student
  4. Download and familarize yourself with the PowerPoint presentation (PowerPoint) to use in class.
