Flipgrid is a great tool for helping ESL students of all levels practice their speaking either in the classroom or remotely.

Preparation

  1. Check the website to ensure it is not blocked at your site.
  2. Read through the lesson plan.
  3. Print and make copies of any handouts.

Teacher Tips

You will need to get a free account with Flipgrid.

You can give the students a code to log in to your Flipgrid or you can share a Flipgrid web address. Students will need either a Microsoft account or a Google Account to log on this way. If your students don't have a Google or Microsoft email, you will need to give them a unique username or guest password. Here is where you can give them the username.
